We have lived in this house now for 10 months and have redone most of the rooms helping this house become "us". Our front bedroom (which will some day be a kids room therefore I have no motivation to do anything to it right now) and our bedroom have not been touched. Until now!!! We are now in the process of making this room our own little paradise.
Here is a before and after picture of the room...
Andrew has seriously become quite the handy man with house projects. He got some free pallets from a guy at our church, took them apart and created a pallet wall on one wall in the room which I am totally in love with. I went to Bakersfield for a couple of days and he finished this wall, with the help of a friend, in one night. I painted the walls white and next was to figure out what to do with the floor. Our whole house has wood floors except this room. We are thinking it was an add on that they just put some type of wood looking vinyl down. It has dents and dings all over it and basically just looks cheap. We considered putting down the fake wood floors that you can get from Costco but all of the cute pictures on pinterest of painted floors got the best of me. We figured that if this was a total bomb that we could still cover it up but for now we painted the floors "Sea Salt" by Sherwin Williams, a light grayish blue color. I LOVE IT! We have to wait 72 hours before we can move our furniture back in but so far I am really excited how this room is coming together.
Side tables, lamps, and things for the walls will be coming soon as well. Our tiny little bedroom is slowly becoming our own little retreat.
