We're on our way... Dodger vs Phillies, game 1

our photo shoot

Andrew met a guy from church that is a beginning photographer and wants to build his portfolio so he asked Andrew if he could take pictures of Andrew and I for free. I thought that sounded like a great idea. This past Sunday we went downtown and had a little photo shoot. Here are a few of the pictures from our adventure.

great night...

The weather was great today. I don't think it stopped raining all day. With no plans for the night, I had the best idea...

cold, rainy, and windy weather = soup, chocolate milk, the couch, and a movie. Not to mention the best husband ever. This was the movie of choice. If you haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend watching it.

My Mom...

I was going through my pictures and I came across this one. I am pretty sure it is one of my favorites because, how great is a mom that will read to her daughter's 5th grade class. We had "Read Across America" at our school last year where people from the community would volunteer to read to our class. My mom happened to come and visit on that day so she volunteered as well. My kids loved her!!! and so do I!

Nehemiah...

At church we are going to through Nehemiah and working through the idea of what it means to have a dislocated heart. Nehemiah was an amazing leader that had a dislocated heart for God's city. He had a desire to not only see the walls of Jerusalem be rebuilt but to make it happen. As we walk through this book we are being challenged to ask ourselves, what do I have a holy discontent for? What do I see in the city, in my community that breaks my heart? I am working through that question. Ask yourself the same thing. Are we willing to step out of our comfort zones for these things?
