was one of the best I have ever had. Here are some of the highlights:
- Thanksgiving lunch at my parent's with the Fast family filled with Mario Cart, Wii tennis, and Blockus. Never to forget the amazing food. - Thanksgiving dinner with the Feils. With Grandpa Arly there is never a dull moment!! - Aerobics with my sister at Shafter M.B. Church. - Reminiscing with my sister while painting our old room. - Waking up to a blazing fire and cup of coffee with my dad. - And of course, getting to hang out with Henry!
Last Weekend I went home to be apart of the Rosedale Bible 100th year celebration. An added bonus to the weekend was that I was able to hangout with Layne. We headed out to one of out favorite Bakersfield places, the Crystal Palace.
my sister and Henry came to visit for the weekend. Getting to see Henry so much I felt spoiled and loved every minute of it. The weekend was quite eventful. First we sewed new stockings for Christmas (picture to come when they are completed). Then we had our Sorensen Thanksgiving at my Aunt Kaylen's house. After Thanksgiving, my parents stayed the night to watch Andrew give the sermon at church. We all went to lunch afterwards and then everyone headed home.
Great family.... Great weekend!! A wonderful way to start my week off.
Andrew met a guy from church that is a beginning photographer and wants to build his portfolio so he asked Andrew if he could take pictures of Andrew and I for free. I thought that sounded like a great idea. This past Sunday we went downtown and had a little photo shoot. Here are a few of the pictures from our adventure.
The weather was great today. I don't think it stopped raining all day. With no plans for the night, I had the best idea...
cold, rainy, and windy weather = soup, chocolate milk, the couch, and a movie. Not to mention the best husband ever. This was the movie of choice. If you haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend watching it.
I was going through my pictures and I came across this one. I am pretty sure it is one of my favorites because, how great is a mom that will read to her daughter's 5th grade class. We had "Read Across America" at our school last year where people from the community would volunteer to read to our class. My mom happened to come and visit on that day so she volunteered as well. My kids loved her!!! and so do I!
At church we are going to through Nehemiah and working through the idea of what it means to have a dislocated heart. Nehemiah was an amazing leader that had a dislocated heart for God's city. He had a desire to not only see the walls of Jerusalem be rebuilt but to make it happen. As we walk through this book we are being challenged to ask ourselves, what do I have a holy discontent for? What do I see in the city, in my community that breaks my heart? I am working through that question. Ask yourself the same thing. Are we willing to step out of our comfort zones for these things?
is the Fresno County Library. Andrew and I have been checking out books as well as books on cd recently and I love it. My drive to and from work now consist of a great story. I am a huge fan of fiction novels. If anyone has any good recommendations let me know, I am sure the library will have it.
