Melissa is due to have a baby boy on March 18th. Layne and I thought it would be a clever idea to make a baby blanket for her. Knowing the colors of her nursery, we set out to the fabric store. We both had never made a blanket before so everything was a bit experimental. At the end we were pretty impressed with the outcome. Here it is... what do you think?
A little project on a night when I had nothing else to do.

Denise, that looks so amazing! You and Layne need to start a blanket making business. I can't believe how well it came out. Let's sew some skirts together soon!
i hope you don't mind, i just came across your blog through a friend's (i saw the "feil" name and, knowing a bunch of feils from bako, i thought i'd follow the link) :) anyway, i got an awesome sewing machine recently as a birthday gift and have been wanting to do a patchwork baby blanket just like the one you did . . . but haven't been able to find any good tutorials. did you follow anything (pattern or anything) or just trial and error it? it turned out so cute! i'd love any advice/tips you might offer!
